Morning Movement Benefits
Starting your day with exercise can significantly boost your core body temperature and alertness. Engaging in activities like walking, jogging, or skipping rope while soaking up sunlight is highly beneficial. Incorporating cold exposure, such as a cold shower, can further enhance your morning routine, setting a positive tone for the day ahead. Aim for consistent movement throughout the week to maximize these benefits. In this clip

After exercising in the morning, can I take a hot bath, or should I just do the recovery session and start my work? Doesn't the hot bath lower my core temperature, and how does that align with Andrew Huberman's mention that we need to increase our body temperature after waking to increase our cortisol levels and start the clock in the episode Sleep Toolkit: Tools for Optimizing Sleep & Sleep-Wake Timing | Huberman Lab Podcast #84 and the clip Morning Movement Benefits?
Is it better to do the cold shower and meditation first, or should I do the morning sunlight walk as early as possible after waking up? I also assumed the focused work session had to be as early as possible. Additionally, Andrew Huberman mentioned 1-3 minutes for the cold shower, but I do 10 minutes daily.
What if I worked out first thing when I get up? According to Dr. Huberman, the most energy for deep work comes about 5 to 6 hours after your “temperature starts to rise.” I think that’s how he put it. That temperature change is to be calculated 2 hours before you get up. I generally rise with the sun, so that’s between 6:30 and 7:30. This means the temperature change occurs between 4:30 and 5:30, so my optimal work time is somewhere between 9:30 and 11:30. Can you advise how I should handle this?
