Fat and Lean Mass

A reduction in testosterone levels may not necessarily lead to a loss of lean mass, as suggested by a study comparing polyunsaturated and saturated fats. Interestingly, the group consuming polyunsaturated fat ended up with more lean mass, raising questions about the underlying mechanisms. Additionally, a small amount of saturated fat appears to be sufficient for cholesterol synthesis, with evidence indicating that low LDL levels can still provide cardiovascular benefits.
