Lipoproteins Explained

Cholesterol travels through the bloodstream in lipoprotein packages, which are composed of lipids and proteins. Different types of lipoproteins, such as high-density lipoproteins (HDL) and low-density lipoproteins (LDL), vary in density based on their lipid and protein content. A specific type of LDL, known as LP little A, poses additional risks for about 10-20% of the population, highlighting the complexity of cholesterol management in health.
