Sugar Awareness

Cutting out sugar is essential for better health, but identifying it in food can be tricky due to the many names used by the food industry. Look for "added sugars" on labels, as this indicates the presence of harmful sweeteners like sucrose or high fructose corn syrup. Aim for no more than one teaspoon or four grams of added sugars per serving, and prioritize foods classified as NOVA types one, two, or three for healthier choices.
