Brain's Response to Stress

Andrew explains how the brain responds to stress and how the hypothalamus and areas of the brain stem control breathing and other primitive functions. He also talks about how the forebrain quiets for about 20 to 30 seconds during high stress situations and how people can teach themselves to be comfortable with that pulse of adrenaline through deliberate cold exposure or blood restriction coughs.
