Clinic Experience
Marcus Capone recounts his journey to a psychedelic clinic in Mexico, emphasizing the importance of proper medical screening and preparation. He describes the clinic's thorough protocols, which include medical screenings and consultations with licensed therapists to ensure safe and effective treatment. Marcus explains that while some experiences can be challenging, they are often necessary for healing deep-seated traumas.
The more stringent you are on the screening, the better the outcome. Individuals that have trouble with psychedelic medicine, again, is the screening. So if the screening is not done correctly, there can be issues.
---
The clinic's approach contrasts sharply with unregulated practices, underscoring the need for professional oversight in psychedelic therapy 1 2.
Healing Impact
Marcus and Amber Capone discuss the life-changing impact of psychedelic therapy on veterans, particularly those suffering from PTSD and other mental health issues. They highlight the high efficacy rates and the growing acceptance within the veteran community, despite initial stigmas and challenges. Amber emphasizes the community's commitment to supporting one another through these treatments.
We found something that works, and that's the story here. The story is not Marcus and Amber running around doing psychedelic drugs or running a cult, which we were told, by the way, initially we were running a cult, which is kind of funny, but no, we're trying to heal people, that's all.

Their efforts have led to significant traction and support, helping many veterans find relief and hope 3 4.
Integration
The Capones have integrated psychedelic therapy into broader treatment protocols through their organization, VETS. They provide funding and support for veterans seeking these treatments, emphasizing the need for comprehensive care and follow-up. Marcus explains the development of Tara Mind, a platform designed to connect veterans with reputable psychedelic therapy providers and ensure ongoing support.
The vision really is to build the largest platform in the world to connect all, you know, all the stakeholders. And eventually we will be collecting data on all these individuals and we will be going to the insurers and making sure at the end of the day that they pay for these because right now not everybody can pay $6,000 to go outside the US and do it.
---
This initiative aims to make psychedelic therapy more accessible and sustainable for veterans in need 5 6.
