I think I may have experienced it to some degree, but it seems that the intensity can vary, and sometimes it influences my actions in a disguised way. It feels like a maladaptive protective mechanism very much related to trauma. My brain creates these rules seemingly to try to control the environment after a trauma that went untreated.
